The LMT Spec War was designed in partnership with some of America’s specialized warfighters.
This upper is designed to utilize the LMT 12.5″ MRP barrel as well as 12″ and greater barrel lengths. The Spec War excludes the forward QD mounts and extended the length over the CQB length for improved ergonomics and real estate. 
Using the patented monolithic rail platform(MRP) constructed from a single aluminum forging. The barrel is held in place by a proprietary locking system using 2 bolts accessible from the side of the receiver. Only a standard T-30 Torx wrench is required for installation and disassembly of the barrel.
The Spec War receiver is designed for 12.5″ barrels or longer
LMT MRP barrel is required. A standard AR15 barrel is not compatible with this upper receiver.
